About The Hardware Distillery Co.
Dazzling views of Mount Ellinor and Mount Washington pepper the skyline of the Washington town, Hoodsport. With the town’s picturesque views and storied history of bootlegging, it’s the perfect place to open a distillery. The award-winning Hardware Distillery Co. did just that.
The Hardware Distillery Co. was founded by Jan and Chuck Morris in 2012. Jan and Chuck have always had a vacation home in Hoodsport. When it came time to live their retirement dream and open a distillery, they knew exactly where to go. The Hardware Distillery Co. specializes in truly unique spirits like their line of aquavits and honey-based mead.
The Hardware Distillery Co.’s water comes from the Hood Canal, fruit from local orchards, grains from local farms and honey from local beehives. Shoreside to the Hood Canal, the distillery’s basement opens up to the shore. The spirits are aged in the basement to breath the fresh, briny air from the canal. All of this comes together to breed a line of award-winning, unmistakably Washington craft spirits.
