About Northern Latitudes Distillery
In the heart of Michigan’s ‘Little Finger’ is the small town of Lake Leelanau, home to Northern Latitudes Distillery. Don’t let the size of the town fool you, the husband and wife team behind Northern Latitudes are distilling big flavors.
Mandy and Mark Moseler founded Northern Latitudes Distillery in 2012, but the idea stemmed from a conversation they had in 2008. They were sharing dinner and drinks with some friends when the conversation turned to Michigan’s ban on baiting deer. Mark wondered what would become of all those unused sugar beets, and if they could serve any other purpose. The group thought that the sugar could likely be distilled. The seeds were planted, and from that moment, the Moseler’s appetite for distillation was insatiable.
Northern Latitudes’ line of award-winning craft spirits includes vodka, rum, gin, moonshine, limoncello and liqueur. But their most unique spirit has to be their Horseradish Vodka. If you like a bite, drink it straight. If not, use it to make one of the best Bloody Marys you’ve ever had.
