About Cajun Spirits

Out of New Orleans’ 3rd Ward comes Cajun Spirits Distillery. They’ve got one mission, bottle pure, award-winning Louisiana. Founded by US Navy Veteran Gus Haik in 2010, Cajun Spirits accomplished that mission a few short years after opening. And they have no plans of slowing down.

Gus, a New Orleans native, discovered his love of distilling while in the Navy. An engineer by trade, he was tasked with making seawater potable for 225 sailors. After his naval career and jobs working as a welder in refineries and distilleries, Gus knew it was time for his own venture. He strung together a team and investors, and Cajun Spirits was ready to start distilling.

From their custom built distillery and custom made stills to their 100% Louisiana sugarcane base, Cajun Spirits award-winning craft spirits are a celebration of NOLA. The names of their Crescent Vodka and 3rd Ward Gin reflect their homegrown mantra. Both are named for New Orleans, AKA ‘The Crescent City.'
