This spicy high-rye bourbon mellows out after some time spent in barrels used to age local Michigan maple syrup. It’s the perfect fall cocktail for sipping slowly and watching the leaves change colors.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz. Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Maple Syrup Barrels
- 1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

2 tsp. Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup
- 1 dash Ground Cinnamon
- Cinnamon Stick, for garnish
- Lemon Slice, for garnish
Directions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice
- Combine bourbon, lemon juice, maple syrup and a pinch of ground cinnamon
- Shake well and pour over a cocktail glass with fresh ice
- Enjoy!
